  Assistant Coach Jackie Mullens

Jackie Mullens begins her second season as the Assistant Coach with the University of Delaware men’s and women's golf programs during the 2022-23 season.

In her first season with the Blue Hens, both programs have had team and individual successes, each having wins since her arrival in Newark. In the 2021-22 season Mullens helped lead the women’s program to ten Top-10 finishes, including a 2nd place finish at CAA Championships and the men’s program to nine Top-10 finishes.

Notably the women’s program defended their team title at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, while Oihana Etxezarreta defended her individual title, winning by a 5 stroke margin. This victory marked the 10th team win in program history.

In her first tournament with the UD men’s program at the Golfweek Fall Challenge, Mullens helped lead the Blue Hens to a final round card of 270 to win the team title and beat Mercer University by 1 stroke.  Delaware fired an 18 under par final round, the second lowest team round in program history, to finish first out of 18 squads. Their three-round total of 834 is the lowest in UD history, easily beating the previous mark of 848 set at the JMU Invitational in 2005.

Before arriving in Newark, Mullens started her career in coaching at Seton Hall University, where for 3 years she’d help lead the Pirates to 18 Top-10 finishes, 3 team victories, 4 individual victories, a BIG East Championship Runner-Up, and a program high ranking of 54th in the country during the 2019-20 season. During her time at the Hall she coached 9 All-American Scholar award winners, implementing a culture that allowed student athletes to be successful on the golf course and in the classroom.

Mullens played her collegiate career at Rutgers University, graduating in 2016 with a degree in Exercise Science-Kinesiology. At the 2016 BIG Ten Championship Mullens carded a five over par 221 to finish 35th out of 83 players. Mullens also receive All-Academic honors concluding the 2013-14 season.
